If you’re shopping in Bigfork or anywhere around the lake, the menu can look crowded. Here’s a plain breakdown of the main categories.
Find your way around the menu
Flower. Dried bud. Inhaled effects start within minutes, which makes it easier to pace yourself. Smoke it or use a dry-herb vaporizer.
Pre-rolls. Ready-to-smoke joints. Same onset as flower, no grinding or rolling.
Vape cartridges. Oil heated by a battery. Fast onset and low odor. Buy only from licensed dispensaries; the CDC has linked vaping to serious lung injury, especially with products from informal sources.
Edibles. Gummies, chocolates, drinks. The CDC notes effects can take 30 minutes to 2 hours to start and can last longer than expected. Start low (2.5 to 5 mg) and wait before taking more.
Tinctures. Liquid extracts, often taken under the tongue or swallowed. Onset varies by how they’re taken, and measured droppers make doses easier to track.
Concentrates. Wax, shatter, live resin, rosin. Very potent, nearly immediate, best for experienced consumers. Live resin and solventless products keep more of the original plant flavor.
